HISTORY
Designer Takahiro Miyashita, known for his work at Number (N)ine and later his own label The Soloist., collaborated with artist and skateboard pioneer Mark Gonzales on a series of graphic pieces in the 2010s. This sweatshirt pays tribute to Jay Adams, a legendary figure of 1970s skateboarding culture and member of the Z-Boys. The handwritten-style typography by Gonzales embodies the raw and spontaneous spirit of skateboarding while aligning with Miyashita’s ongoing interest in countercultural icons.
