HISTORY
Released in 2019 as part of KANGHYUK’s Collection 6, this vest reflects the Seoul-based label’s established practice of reconstructing discarded automobile airbags into wearable garments. Founded by designers Kang Hyunho and Ko Taeyang, KANGHYUK is known for its systematic approach to upcycling industrial waste, translating technical materials into utilitarian fashion forms. This piece exemplifies the brand’s early exploration of modular outerwear using reclaimed airbag nylon.
