HISTORY
Late 1990s piece from Issey Miyake’s PLEATS PLEASE line, developed under the designer’s long-standing “A Piece of Cloth” philosophy. Introduced in the early 1990s, PLEATS PLEASE focused on permanently pleated garments designed for ease of movement, portability, and durability, produced using heat-set polyester technology that allowed clothing to function as an everyday product rather than a seasonal fashion item.
