HISTORY
From General Research’s Autumn/Winter 1999 collection, this heavy coat reflects the brand’s utilitarian focus under Setsumasa Kobayashi. Known for military-inspired detailing and technical reinterpretations, the season continued the label’s exploration of functional outerwear rooted in field and survival gear. This design embodies the late-1990s Japanese approach to experimental workwear with layered protection and modular construction.
