From Spring/Summer 2022 under Demna, this quilted tartan shirt jacket reflects Balenciaga’s ongoing exploration of volume and utility in hybrid garments. Combining the structure of outerwear with the codes of a classic plaid shirt, it demonstrates the brand’s signature distortion of familiar wardrobe staples. Lightly padded, the piece bridges casual shirting and functional layering, aligning with Demna’s vision of everyday luxury.
