HISTORY
Introduced in the Spring/Summer 2022 collection under creative director Demna Gvasalia, the Space Shoe reflects Balenciaga’s ongoing exploration of radical form and industrial materiality. Conceived as a sculptural object as much as footwear, the design aligns with the season’s emphasis on futurism, abstraction, and the redefinition of everyday dress through experimental silhouettes.
